Established in 1987, the estate began its legacy as a sprawling private sanctuary for Baron Marcel Bich, co-founder of the world-renowned BIC company.
Designed by Robert Von Hagge, and widely considered his masterpiece, the Old Course remained the Baron’s sanctuary where he hosted family and friends and the occasional amateur or professional event. The Estate thrived and developed mythical status under the Baron’s stewardship until his passing in 1994.
In 2018 the Estate was aquired by an investment group led by RoundShield Partners. Les Bordes Golf Club was formed in August 2019 as a private club accessible exclusively to its Members and their guests. A multinational Founder Membership group of over 100 golfers was formed in December 2019, creating the basis and future for the Golf Club.
Since the formation of the Golf Club a second championship course and a 10 hole par three course, both designed by Gil Hanse, have been completed creating a truly unique 46 hole golf experience.
The New Course has been ranked within the Top 100 Courses in the World by Golf Magazine in 2021.
